Thinking about becoming a Western Pest customer? We’re here to help. We’ve gathered some commonly asked questions about our services so you can feel confident in your pest control decisions.
How long have you been in business?
Western Pest Services has been providing quality pest control to our neighbors in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions since 1928.
How long does it take for you to come service my property after I call about a pest problem?
Western Pest has a 24-hour response time — guaranteed. Our team will respond within 24 hours of your call, no matter what. If you call us before noon, we also offer same-day service.
How many times per year will you service my home?
For our standard plan, the Home Protection Plan, we offer three scheduled, seasonal visits. With that plan, we also offer emergency visits between appointment dates at no additional cost.
What happens if you service my home and the pest problem returns?
Western backs all our services with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. We stand by our ability to get rid of pests in as few visits as possible. If you have our Home Protection Plan, we’ll return at no additional cost until the pest problem is solved.
What pests does your Home Protection Plan cover?
Our Home Protection Plan covers just about all of the common pests — even some you might not expect to be covered, such as fleas, rodents, squirrels, bats, and stinging pests. See our full list of covered pests.
Are your pest control products safe for my family and pets?
All of Western’s products are approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and our technicians are trained to strictly follow the instructions on each product’s label. We also employ Integrated Pest Management (IPM) solutions, which focus on exclusion and removing attractants before treating them with products. Ask your technician if you have specific questions about the products being used in your home.
I’m selling my home. Can you help with inspections?
Home inspectors will often test for wood-destroying pests before a sale. It is recommended that homeowners have a pest control company ready to service their house in the event that pests are found. At Western, we are licensed to perform the wood-destroying pest test. Depending on the results, we are also able to properly assess and treat any findings from the test — from routine bait termite treatments to fumigation.
