All About Middle Township, NJ

Middle Township is a township in Cape May County. Middle Township was formed as a precinct on April 2, 1723, and was incorporated by Township Act of 1798 of the New Jersey Legislature on February 21, 1798 as one of New Jersey’s initial group of 104 townships. Portions of the township have been taken to form Anglesea Borough (on June 13, 1885; now North Wildwood), Avalon (April 18, 1892), Wildwood (May 1, 1895), Stone Harbor (April 3, 1914) and West Wildwood (April 21, 1920). The township’s name came from its location when Cape May was split into three townships in 1723 at the same time that Lower Township and Upper Township were created.

Middle Township clearly has a rich history but it’s also a tourist destination. Visit the flamingos, the African lions, the cheetahs, and more at the Cape May County Park & Zoo. Relax and sip at Natali Vineyards. Be sure to also visit the The Museum of Cape May County. Located in three historic buildings, the museum is a treasure trove of exhibits showcasing county life from Native American times through the twenty first century. The 1704 Colonial period home, 1830 Federal period addition, carriage shed and 1780 barn offer a fascinating look at how life in the county has evolved. There are many choices for dinner in Middle Township, but we suggest the Japanese cuisine at Murasaki. Treat yourself to the filet mignon and lobster hibachi dinner. You won’t be sorry. Every year, people flock to Middle Township to enjoy everything it has to offer, but unfortunately, so do pests. While these bugs and rodents provide benefits to the eco-system in Middle Township, they can also be a serious problem at homes and businesses. That’s when a professional pest control expert should be called in.

Pest Control Services Near You

Properly controlling pests in Middle Township, NJ should be done on a local level. Middle Township’s pest issues are different than Sussex County’s and way different than New York City’s. The pest control company you choose should have knowledge and expertise in your town. That’s Western Pest Services. We have been servicing New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, and Pennsylvania for almost 100 years. That kind of expertise is unmatched in the industry. And with a branch located in nearby Cape May, our technicians, customer services representatives, and everyone else that works at that location lives and works in the area, too. Our neighbors are your neighbors, and we treat them that way.

As the Garden State, New Jersey is known for its forests, farms, trails, beaches, and abundance of greenery and lush vegetation. Middle Township is no exception. Warm, moist summers give way to cold winters, which means over-wintering insects, rodents, and other small wildlife need to find warm places to wait out the cold. The local extermination experts at our Cape May branch are used to dealing with mice, carpenter ants, bed bugs, termites, mosquitoes, ticks – and even the occasional cheeky raccoon or hiding bat. No matter the season, your pest control service needs will be taken care of by a local exterminator that knows the area and the pests that are common to it. In the summer, they know what that the ponds and birdbaths many people have around their homes can be exactly where mosquitoes like to breed. They know that the ticks that come out during the summer months can transmit Lyme disease so while nobody can help the wooded areas around Carol Nicoletta Memorial Park, they can help your backyard stay free from them. In the cooler months, they know mice can try to make their way into your garage – especially if that’s where you keep the 20 lb. dog food bag! No matter what pest, any time of the year, our pest control treatments in Middle Township can help, including:

  • Bats
  • Bed bugs
  • Pest birds
  • Mosquitoes
  • Spotted lanternflies
  • Ants
  • Carpenter ants

  • Beetles
  • Rats
  • Raccoons
