Western PurClean™ service donated to Talleyville Fire Company to thank first responders
Parsippany, N.J. (June 1, 2020) – As part of their commitment to the community and keeping front line workers safe, Western Pest Services provided the Talleyville Fire Company with a free Western PurClean™ service on Wednesday, June 17. The Talleyville Fire Company has been serving Talleyville’s residents since 1928.
Western Pest Services recently added its Western PurClean™ disinfection service, a treatment to help homes and businesses quickly kill a large spectrum of pathogens and help stop the spread of viruses. High-touched surfaces such as doorknobs, countertops, and seating areas are common places where viruses linger and can rapidly cause spread from there. With commonly shared equipment such as fire trucks and break areas, these risks can increase for first responders.
“Fire fighters, considered essential service workers, did not have a work from home option when Covid-19 hit,” said Jack Russell, Senior Account Manager at Western Pest Services. “Since their duties carried on, donating a disinfection service provided first responders the peace of mind needed to continue to serve their community during this unprecedented time. The Western PurClean™ disinfectant program, when applied properly by Western technicians, kills 99.99 percent of pathogenic bacteria, fungi, and viruses on hard, non-porous surfaces. The EPA has deemed the product used in the Western PurClean™ program treatment to have the lowest level of toxicity rating and to contain no ozone-harming compounds, making it low risk for people and pets as well as the environment. It is rated “no rinse required on food contact surfaces” by NSF International so it can be used on food preparations surfaces without the need to wash or rinse the area with water after.
